Why Choose ISI Dublin?
At ISI, we love what we do. We don’t just teach courses — we offer a complete package, combining the best academic programmes with high-quality accommodation, an exciting complimentary social programme after classes, engaging evening events, and adventurous weekend excursions.
Founded in 2001, ISI Dublin has been delivering high-quality educational programmes to international students for more than 20 years. We are accredited by Eaquals and recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) for English language education (ELE). ISI Dublin is also a proud member of MEI, Ireland’s leading quality language school association, and ALTO, the world’s premier association for language travel organisations.
Our programmes are approved for a range of European funding schemes, including Bildungsurlaub and Erasmus+.
Award-Winning School
Academic excellence is at the heart of everything we do. ISI Dublin is the proud winner of the Study Travel Star English Language School Europe Award four times (2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020/21) and Finalist in 2024 and 2025. We have also won the Irish Enterprise Award for Best English Language School in Ireland in 2022 and 2023.
We are an official exam centre for Trinity College London ISE Examinations, and a recognised preparation centre for the Cambridge Examinations, including IELTS, as well as LanguageCert examinations.
Small Groups
The average class size at ISI is 13 students allowing teachers to focus on individual needs and tailor lessons accordingly.
Individual Assessment
All students are assessed at the time of booking via an online test, again on arrival with a speaking test, and weekly through class tests. Progress is tracked to ensure students are studying at the correct level, with opportunities to advance to the next level after successful completion of an exit-level examination.
Level-Specific Classes
With high student numbers year-round, ISI offers up to 16 different levels. For example, instead of a single B1 class, there may be two or three, each catering to slightly different abilities, allowing precise level placement.
Nationality Mix
ISI boasts a rich nationality mix, with up to 40 different countries represented at any time. Morning classes typically have the most diverse mix, while afternoon classes are smaller.
City Centre Location
All our buildings are located in the heart of Dublin, within a five-minute walk of O’Connell Street, Temple Bar, and Trinity College.
Beautiful Facilities
ISI operates two year-round centres with excellent facilities in beautifully designed buildings, creating an inspiring learning environment.
Year-Round Social Programme
Our social programme is an essential part of the ISI student experience. Friendly and enthusiastic coordinators organise a wide range of activities, from cultural outings and workshops to evening events and weekend excursions.
Value for Money
We offer courses to suit all budgets. Students on a smaller budget can study in the afternoon and receive up to a 20% discount.
Innovative Approach
We teach the language students need for real-life communication using a communicative approach. While following a core textbook, teachers incorporate authentic materials such as magazines, menus, advertisements, YouTube videos, songs, and educational software.
High-Quality Teaching
All ISI teachers are university graduates with government-recognised teaching qualifications. Most have extensive teaching experience in Ireland and abroad. Our Academic Management team monitors teaching standards through observations, weekly meetings, and regular training workshops.
Technology
All classrooms use Interactive Digital Whiteboards and computers, integrating textbooks with software and online resources. Both centres have high-speed WiFi and computer rooms with webcams for Skype, FaceTime, and other social media communication.
Student Cafés
Our cafés offer high-quality food at very affordable prices. Students can enjoy hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes, and snacks, with lunch available for under €3.50 — offering the best value in Dublin.
At ISI Dublin, we are known internationally for our high-quality teaching, friendly student services, vibrant social programme, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to staff development. We love what we do, and the wellbeing of our students and staff is at the heart of everything we do.
