Format
- 20 hours per week: 15 hours of General English + 5 hours of Special Topics OR 5 hours of Electives classes
- Class times: 08:00 – 12:15 OR 09:00 – 12:15, and 12:25 – 13:25
- Suitable for students from A1 to C1 level
Course Description
The Semi-Intensive General English course offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their language skills, grammar, and vocabulary in a supportive international environment. Classes are led by ISI’s experienced ESL teachers, using a communicative methodology focused on practical, everyday communication.
Course Content
General English: Participants are tested and placed in the appropriate CEFR level. The course includes orientation, needs analysis, setting learning outcomes, language focus and skills workshops, assessment of learning, one-to-one feedback, and a certificate presentation.
The course covers general English skills, pronunciation activities, communicative exercises, writing assignments with feedback, communicative projects, assessment of learning outcomes, and progress tests with feedback. Using a communicative approach, students focus on real-life communication, exchanging ideas, opinions, and experiences that are meaningful and long-lasting.
Special Topics: In addition to the 15-hour General English programme, this 25-hour programme includes 10 specialised elective lessons per week, which can be chosen before arrival.
